[script] mapz2packz v0.5-- Right click auto-package in Gnome (Ubuntu)
Stemming from the first two scripts I wrote earlier, I challenged myself to start work on an automatic map packager. All, you have to do is right click a bsp and the script will do the rest...

This release is early alpha as it only packages things that go in the maps folder in the package (save waypoints which I'll get to later :-P).

Read the usage notes for a quick how-to. It's all automated... you right click a bsp in your maps folder, "Create New Map Package" and it'll do the rest.

It opens up nexuiz and does a bunch of stuff to create the screenshot, mapinfo and radar files. It will automatically quit but if you see that it's done creating the image radar, you can press f10. gedit will then pop up for you to edit the mapinfo. After you close gedit, it will package the map and drop it in your ~/.nexuiz/data directory.

This script relies on ImageMagick for resizing and cropping the screenshot.

Code:
sudo apt-get install imagemagick

Extract to your home directory then,
Code:
chmod +x ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/Create\ New\ Map\ Package

read the usage notes in the top of this script and configure your Nexuiz directory / binary:
Code:
gedit ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/Create\ New\ Map\ Package
Inspire your neighbor, they'll inspire you back.
