This is why nexuiz activity is dieing. People half map others all the time. So what, you're getting beaten in a match. That's not an excuse to quit the match. Instead of bailing out of a match, why don't you actually play full matches and learn from your mistakes? Have you seen MiT lately? It's gotten a lot better if you didn't know. How? Simple. MiT has been raped 10,000 times from other clans, mainly [M]. I've gotten better in 1v1's as well. How? Again, I've been raped severely by multiple people, with scores as bad as 70 to 0. I hardly ever bail out of a match, and when I do, I apologize and explain the situation (if possible).

TwEaK always played the entire match. He didn't care whether he won or lost. I guess that's kinda hard to come across nowadays in nexuiz.

-z-: I know you don't play 1v1's very often, but what you did in that match was considered rude to me. I don't bail out of a 1v1 because "The other person knew the map well".

At this rate, nexuiz competition will be dead in weeks. Clans are dieing, new clans are recruiting noobs from pubs like galts so they actually have members. Also, before you (-z-) say "What have you done to help out the community), lemme make you a list:

1. I run a very successful clan called MiT. It's one of the best nexuiz clans out there.
2. I've trained 15-20 newbs total.
3. I've started a trick jumps thread to give others a quick resource for trick jumping.
4. I've helped created two different versions of the [MiT] Install Disk.
5. I'm working on maps so the community has better maps to play on (Don't get me wrong, there are a few good maps in nexuiz)
6. I've also trained non nub people, even when they were in different clans.
   

As you can see, I've done some stuff to help out the community. Bottom line is: Please, don't half map others. It'll only make things worse.

As I just said on IRC, I think there is too much emphasis on "destroy and kill" but not enough on "play". Sometimes it's nice to play a more relaxed game where you're just showing each other things, testing each other's limits. It's clear that you know the level and how to hold power better than I do but rather than just take it down a notch you continue going full strength while I'm trying to ignore the chatter and the negative comments.

It's a brand new server with a whole new set of configs, I'm sorry this is not my area of expertise, managing all these game types and what not. I'm trying to sort out all these things and you've just got the "go go go" attitude. I feel like you didn't take the time to understand the problems I was having, even when I voiced them after I speced.

After we changed to reslimed and I was having fun just playing around with everybody and it got even better at peace6. I thought a negative energy was turned into something positive for a lot of people. Then I come back to the forums and see you try and snowball TwEaK's goodbye thread into energy against me? Make a new thread, that's lame man.

Ever consider the fact that you've been playing in a tournament for the past while? I haven't, I've been working on other aspects of the game. I'm in a different mindset than you and I feel like you didn't try and respect that.

I'm sorry if you considered it rude I didn't know you thought it was that big of a deal.

I never questioned what you did for the community, I've always respected you.

You want to be taken as a major leader in this community, and you don't even know common courtesy in the game. Even after the "Bye" thread specifically mentioned that a major problem in the game is that people leave mid-match.

Once again, you choose to solve your problems by banning those you don't like. If you want respect, -Z-, then first learn maturity. I have not seen any reason up to this point to respect you. You run a website. Good. This one looks a little neater than alientrap. But then, you try to turn it into your personal commune where everyone is a "ninja." You reject any user who has "negative energy." Apparently, a competitive attitude comprises negative energy. Dragon says "this sucks" and you kick him from your server. You stop fighting to kick him from your server. That's wrong on two levels.

There's something about shittalking. It's what you do before and after a game to make the competition more interesting. What you did was not shit talk, but burn the field. "If you aren't going to play my way, then you can just go away!!"

Tweak made 2 points, both of which are valid. He then used the term "babycakes." You ban him. No, I can't respect you, -Z-.

I have to agree with Lizard. don't leave the game , even if you are losing hard. i played kojak/kojn many times and most of the time 40+ - 0-5 so wtf? :D i've seen anyone leaving a match, only if he got to go like dinner or something , but if so another guy just joined the game like yesterday for e.g. : Cuiziner got to go and Parp jumped in. But ok thats EU, looks like theres a difference.. if you don't have any chance in a 1on1 you can runaway :D its a bit fun also and you can improve you movement. i suck at Aggressor. after 4 frags easy frags for my opponent i knew i can't win here , so i ran away and in the end he only got 8 frags (me 0). I failed at my home map Aneursym (i won: 15 - 11) ..

It's true, you must train at a higher level than your own to improve...

What I see wrong with it, it's just people kicking up stink about the community "dying". The community is fine. A few months / weeks before the new release players drop down... As soon as the new version comes out there is a pickup of players...

We're just going through a rough patch, we'll get through it. It doesn't need to be made a big deal of. It should be delt with and moved on.

Something I just noticed, I've seen the most bitching, complaining and argueing right here! (other than the threads on at forums about nn...)

I dissagree.... At the most, this section will be dead. If anything though willll only be those few people that keep creating threads saying things like, nexuiz is about to die etc (not that there has been a spercific post about that, yet)

I think we're taking the community as a utopian community... Don't get me wrong, we have a great community here, but we're not going to EVER have a perfect community, there will still be the new players causing chaos or a few people just trying to make it hard. The best thing we and/or you can do is just to ignor them, not insult them....

Usually my posts don't make sense, as soon as I start typing things they're all weird :) I hope you're all able to find the meaning hidden some where...

Note: "You all" has been used loosly, it doesn't actually refer to nexuizninjaz as a whole, just the small group of people talking about the nexuiz doomsday.

Are we getting anything done through fighting? No. Yes, I made the above post to show everyone that you dropped out. My main point was: Lets stop dropping out. Now. Instead of complaining every second about this and that, why don't we actually get up and do something? No, the NA scene isn't dead, but it's becoming less and less active, and people are starting to leave because of it. Here are my views on what's wrong in nexuiz (Three main things) and how we should fix it (in order from most important to least important):

#1 Nexuiz Clan Activity-Competition: Yes, as much as I'd hate to say it, it's getting less and less active. Without competition, nexuiz isn't fun for the most part. We need to get the clans that are around more active and new clans that will scrim others. How are we going to get more people? Simple, spreading the word. I'm going to send emails to certain people and make post in certain forums about nexuiz. Now, it may not bring a ton of people, but at least it would help.

#2 Developers: Now that the main programmer, divVerent, is out of the scene, we need people (notice how "people" is plural) to take his spot. We need developers that will listen to the community. How are we going to get more devs? Again, spreading the word (I know a few people from AT have already sent out emails to others).

#3 Maps: As I said before, there are some good maps in nexuiz, but not enough IMO. I guess this would fit in the developers sections, but I believe that this is important enough to have it's own spot. We need to make some maps that give great games, look good, fair, and maps that are laid out well. Now, I KNOW that there are quite a few map makers in nexuiz (Including I). Now we just need the ideas/time to make the maps that WON'T be rejected by the community.

I believe that we should take care of these three things first. With clan activity, nexuiz would have more "High end" activity, better players, and great games could be played/enjoyed. With developers, great enhancements (Weapons, sounds, server cfgs, scoring, etc) could be developed. And with new, better maps, more fun AND fair games could happen.

-z-: Yes, I like to play a match match that isn't interrupted. I know that you're not into the whole "1v1" thing. This hasn't only happened to me once. Now, I'm not going to announce names, but people would play 1/4-3/4 of a game and would say "Fuck it" and disconnect without warning. I really hate that, if you didn't know :P Some people refuse to even play me because they think they're going to lose. That makes me angry/sad/bored. I try to at least play two games with the person/people, my map and his map or vice versa. Sometimes I try to play 4 maps when it's a clan scrim. All I'm saying is: -z-, don't think I'm putting the full blame on you. I'm just pissed at the amount of people that do that to me daily.
