mkzelda has referred to this article a few times and I must agree, it's really well written. It breaks down strafing into pure physics, giving you a better idea of what's necessary to game speed in Quake. It's not perfect for Nexuiz but it will definitely give you a better idea.
There's a lot of Physics involved, please don't come back here and complain that it's too hard to understand. If so, try harder or just don't reply. I'm posting this here as a reminded to myself and to provoke conversation amongst those looking to stretch the limits of the game. I found it's really well explained even if you don't understand physics but I expect a few people to give up when seeing greek letters. Ninjaz don't doubt themselves, they accept such personal challenges.
