Nexuiz Ninjaz - Practicing the Ninja Art of Nexuiz

This is a comfortable technique of bunny jumping for those who have a mouse with a smooth-scrolling yet responsive mouse wheel. It involves binding the mouse wheel directions in a script such as this:

alias bhop "bind mwheelup +jump; bind mwheeldown +jump"
alias norm "bind mwheelup weapnext; bind mwheeldown weapprev"
bind ctrl "bhop"
bind alt "norm"

It is very good with bunny jumping because its hard to mistime it and mess up the jump. With this technique, bunny jumping is much easier and smoother, in my opinion.

A lot professional players in the esport use the mouse for jumping (the most in counterstrike).

I like the backspace more for fps, but everyone has another requirements :-)

Really? A script for jumping? Jeez, its not that hard. Just use the spacebar. Timing it is not hard in the least.

Vitality, you should know that unlike some other FPSes, precise timing is not required for bunny hopping in Nexuiz. All you have to do is release and press the jump key again before you land.

I concur. It's not hard to bunny hop with the space bar. In fact, in my opinion, I think using the scroll wheel for bunny hopping in nexuiz makes it harder, especially if you try to combine scroll wheel bunny hopping with trick jumps =X
