I'm two days late posting this, mostly because I've been preoccupied with managing things and getting my ass kicked in General Physics. But C. Brutail has posted the first (of what we hope to be many) issue of Nexuiz News. These articles will periodically detail what the Nexuiz development team and community are doing, have done and will do concerning Nexuiz development.
Thats a good idea -z- , do you think this wouldnt be a good idea for NN?
We (C.Brutail, me, tZork,...) are working on a new nexuiz project... This is a part of it.

i still dont see anything about ctf scoring being fixed
This first news update is a bit lacking in some information, but it is a start.

As I understand it (in overhearing some IRC conversations) they are changing the way Nexuiz scores flag caps internally. This is to allow the possibility of having scoring the way you (Tweak) think it should be done with 1 cap = 1 point, while also allowing for other scoring methods to exist. Basically, they had to break up the cap points and team points, because they were tied at the hip. I haven't kept up with any details about this though, but I understand it was an issue when considering the new scoreboard.

As I told you before, I am willing to try the 1 cap = 1 point scoring method, but I still think there could be something that improves upon that. I'd like to try variations.
From the svn defaultNexuiz.cfg:
seta g_ctf_win_mode 2 // 0: captures only, 1: captures, then points, 2: points only
So currently the default is still like in 2.4.2 and older versions. Some fear changing it will make 'kamikaze' and 'non-teamplay' attacks take even more overhand as only captures are what makes the win then..
But server admins can change that now at least.. and maybe if enough complain the default still gets changed
I think there should be a new type of point winning, wenn i read this post with kamikaze in it, thought of an idea, you could get more points bye doing a distracting the enemy and getting killed but allowing your other teammate to cap.
meh itll allow for more kamikaze runs, but its also going to increase the pacing of the game, making playing 5 defense fairly ineffective
