to do the bunny hop (speed) u have to jump forward and then again but if u do not time it right u will not go as fast but right before u hit the ground if u hit jump again and keep doing it right before then u should get speed out of it (good 4 ctf)
To do the laser jump u hit 1 (def key) then u shoot the ground under you you can shoot it at different angles to go different ways but you have to watch your hp when doing it because it takes damage to your health
Your heart is in the right place but there are already
two videos that describe this.

As a matter of fact, timing has no effect in Nexuiz. You may press and hold the jump key at any time after your last jump.
True, but if you time it right you can't bunnyhop without making any sound when landing jumps. I don't know if this is going to be fixed in future Nexuiz versions or not, but this "bug" if very much present in 2.4.2.
so if u time it right u dont make sound but if u hold hit it right after u hit jump u make sound or other way around??

Yes, although most people don't seem to want this bug fixed, I would like it fixed because it puts me at a disadvantage. You can only do the silent bunnyhop with cl_movement enabled, which i cannot play with.
Thats new to me, but i also use to press way before i land.. first there is no real jumping grunt only a landing sound which is totally independent of timing but only on from how high you fall (the second part of a jump were you 'fall' down again also counts as such).. Would you share a demo of such silent jumps?
pavlvs: I didn't know it was only possible with cl_movement on, in this case I agree it should be fixed.
esteel: sent a pm.
Btw I tried it locally and I couldn't do it at all. Either it's already been fixed in svn or you need lag to be able to do it (which I suppose makes sense that it would only work with cl_movement).
I suppose with practice it could be possible but I find it hard to imagine anyone would learn to do it every time consistently. Especially without thinking about it.
I spoke to div0 about this a while back, and he said the landing sound was actually unintended, and, as esteel mentioned, its just a falling from a certain height noise. He did not want to take any time fixing this, however. I do think it gives cl_movementers a huge advantage and would like to either see it removed from cl_movement or somehow made possible for the rest of us.
Ah excellent, I also found it impossible to do on my listenserver (DP and Nexuiz built Aug. 25), even with cl_netlocalping 100.
