What is SVN? SVN stands for Subversion, and is often used to develop software, and in our case, maps. SVN clients are pretty popular, for Windows: Tortoise SVN, Linux: RapidSVN, Mac: Google it jeez. (:P)

The SVN controls that you would be using in Mapjutsu are these:
Update--Updates your copy of the software(map)
Commit--Uploads your copy of the software to the SVN server.
Revert--Reverts the SVN server's copy of the software to an older version.

You will probably not need to use most of the other features.

If you have any questions about SVN, post them here, and the Mapjutsu members will get back to you as soon as possible.
i have no clue about an svn . this is the first i heard of such so , ill need some one to hold my hand on this one :)
lol same for me.
Strange me to.
moo could u please give more of an explanation? Icon_mrgreen
I suppose its more well known to software developers :) But its a good idea to use if for such things too
i am confused, could someone please tell me what it is? lol
I think it is a program that allows other people to controll your PC ( correct me if im wrong MOO)
GUYS GUYS! SVN STANDS FOR SUBVERSION, as in the pre-release of the next VERSION of something. It's used by developers and hopefully soon by mappers, to communicate between eachother and edit software. It's not to control your PC, and you WILL need an account for it. I'll help all of you that actually need it(people in the mapping courses/people making community maps such as thedojo)
Ooh okay sorry for the wrong explanation moo.
