Nexuiz Ninjaz - Practicing the Ninja Art of Nexuiz

Full Version: Hi,

Welcome to the -V- sub-forum, which -z- was gracious enough to provide us.

If you -V- guys haven't made it to irc yet, http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html has a decent enough tutorial. I'm on irc.quakenet.org in #nexuiz and #nexuiz.ninjaz. If we get enough of a presence we can eventually make our own channel, but it's not necessary right now.

We need more members in order to practice/match other clans, especially with Etoile being out of commission leaving us with just 4. If you -V- guys have any suggestions (for members or otherwise) let me know. If you're not in -V- and would like to join let me know. We're not truly elite so don't be afraid to ask to join, although we're looking to be competitive, hopefully through the use of cohesion and teamwork.

I originally had hoped to keep the clan under 8 members, but I think 10ish is more realistic just so we have enough people around at all times for matches. We'll try to make sure everyone gets a chance to play in matches/practices as allowed by scheduling. I have a few people I'm still interested in, but there's plenty of seats open so feel free to suggest/ask.

Once clan members reply to this thread I'll supply them with the private forum password via pm.

Welcome aboard, I look forward to playing clan matches against -V-.
I can has private forum access?
Mrow.

Welcome to hell ;)
Welcome all -V- members.

Inficio, I'm also starting to think that 10 members might be a better idea than 8 just for the sake of organizing. I'm not sure. It's hard to figure out everyone's schedule to setup practice matches. I'm going to start with 8 for now and see how that works. There seems to be more people than I originally thought that are open to the idea of joining a clan. They are popping out of the woodwork, which is very good. It's the "if you build it, they will come" theory. I just don't want to gobble up all of the available players into a couple clans. The more clans the better, IMO.
I think we have to establish that there's going to be some clan activity amongst V, o, and GT before we worry about getting any single clan too large. Some other clans have the beginnings of being competitive (fs, HV) but I'm not sure how serious they are about it. Our five have never all been on together, so that's why I'm sure we need at least double that in order to get 4-5 available for any given match. Not to mention different time zones, schedules, it's all a logistics nightmare. We'll be lucky for regular 3v3s. :o

Is there a private ctf server available for matches btw? The TN 3v3 tourney server doesn't seem up any more.
Listen up guys, I'd appreciate if you'd all register, log in and reply to this thread just to show you're on the forums. Then we can go about getting everyone the private password and talk strategy. Thanks,
Inficio, I'm here. Also, maybe a membergroup that has access to the private board of each clan would be better, for both security and the sake of organization; there's no password to be leaked and clan affiliations would be more defined, at least at the forum end.
that would be better i agree, but i'm uncertain that can be arranged under this forum system.
Yeah, I'll get on that soon. Please PM me a list of all members you wish to have access.
