A lot of the times when I was trying to figure out how to do something in nexuiz that I needed a 3rd party program for I would come across dead links, this was very frustrating... especially when it came to learning how to map.

I want to provide the community with links they can be sure are alive and I want to do so in the most organized fashion.

There are a couple of ways to approach this problem.

- Create a Downloads forum
- Create a Static page maintained by me
- Create/Find a Forum plugin that would manage downloads much like phpnuke

The forum has the benefit of allowing users to ask questions... so I'm leaning towards this solution. I'd like to get your input before I make a decision though.
I find that usually, the less clicks users have to do, the better. Of course the site is just starting for now so a forum is perfect, but eventually I think making static pages for a demo repository, best frag videos, etc. would be nice so that new players that come across the site for the first time can right away click on a button on some kind of menu and get to the listing right away, without the hassle of clicking on a ton of threads and topics before getting somewhere.

I have quite a few ideas for a demo repository, we can talk about that later. I can do html so if you need someone to maintain that section, I could do that.
Alright, for now I suppose a sticky in the top of the 'General Discussion' forum will do the trick... I'll make hard links to files hosted on nexuizninjaz.com to assure people know they're up.

I already have a sort of ~demo repository~ up right now... it's the Kyoman. It works off youtube which can be looked at in either a positive or negative light but for now it's a working solution.

I plan on integrating the ability to upload a high quality video / demo file. We will talk about your ideas later.

Thanks for the input.
